Welcome to LiveContent.com, your guide to live content online!
The initial role of the Internet was to provide more people easier access to information, but in today’s new Web 2.0 paradigm of web development, the information and online communication is becoming less and less static, and more in sync with the goings-on of the "real world."
More web content is going live, from personal blogs to live video streams of mainstream TV channels, to event broadcasts, and other forms of multimedia content. Besides faster and more reliable Internet technologies and the development of the ubiquitous wireless local area networks, commonly known as Wi-Fi, this process was also greatly facilitated by the evolution of smaller, more portable computers and telecommunications devices, the integration of cell phones and wireless Internet capability, as well as photo and video recording technologies.
The increasingly live content of the Internet has changed the way we think, educate ourselves, meet and communicate with others, and how we look at the world and its events in general. It has been, as the famous New York Times columnist Tom Friedman would say, "flattening" the world more and more.
